I have been working on this for many, many years and it's still a work in progress. The one piece of advice I can give anybody starting on the genealogy journey is "don't take anything for Gospel". I've found incorrect headstones, birth certificates, obituaries, even information from family members that knew other family members their entire lives and didn't know the persons real first name. If for some reason you have found information on anyone in my tree that you believe is incorrect by all means feel free to email me and I'll be happy to update what I have here. Also if you believe that you may be related to someone in my line, by all means email me and let's compare notes.
The primary lines that I have been researching are those of our grandparents:

   My grandparents were:

                        1. Eddie Leroy Wellman 2. Vercie Opal Welch

                        3. Buford Harrison Daily 4. Mary Velma Warden

 Katy's grandparents were:

                        1. Dewey William Clemmons 2. Ruby Edna Singleton

                        3. Bryan Eugene Williams 4. Mary Ellen Nevils

I hope you eventually find everybody your looking for and if not at least have a good time hunting. I know I sure have.

My thanks to William Coxhead for this

THE ELUSIVE ANCESTOR

I went searching for an ancestor. I cannot find him still.

He moved around from place to place and did not leave a will.

He married where a courthouse burned. He mended all his fences.

He avoided any man who came to take the Aussie Census.

He always kept his luggage packed, this man who had no fame.

And every 20 years or so, this rascal changed his name.

His parents came from Europe. They should be upon some list

of passengers to Australia, but somehow they got missed.

And no one else in this world is searching for this man.

So, I play geneasolitaire to find him if I can.

I'm told he's buried in a plot, with tombstone he was blessed;

but the weather took engraving, and some vandals took the rest.

He died before the county clerks decided to keep records.

No Family Bible has emerged, in spite of all my efforts.

To top it off this ancestor, who caused me many groans,

Just to give me one more pain, he betrothed a girl named JONES.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
